Totally out of our area of expertise, this amazing lot was found put away in a small cedar box for 50 years or more. First of all we will make the guarantee that all the items are genuine and will do so on our letter head. The group is as follows: Louisville Slugger 125 miniature bat by Hillerich and Bradsby that has an ORIGINAL AUTOGRAPH BY CY YOUNG and two other people (since we are not baseball fans we have no idea who the others are although one has BWB------unreadable and Jas. A. R----------unreadable. ALSO THIS MATERIAL WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO PHOTOGRAPH AND IS MUCH BETTER IN PERSON! - we know that the original signature of Cy Young is quite rare let alone on a bat! The second miniature bat is by the same company and is a Louisville Slugger 40 with Jimmy Levey Trademark etched into the wood, third bat is marked same as before but with Genuine Melvin Ott trademark, fourth bat is AUTOGRAPHED in pencil by J.D. Sc ---- since we are not familiar with baseball history we have no idea who this is and it is on a Louisville Slugger 125 miniature bat. The last miniature bat is a Louisville Slugger 125 with Henry Zeke Bonura trade mark. The following are all baseballs: Ball number one is marked Sinclair Babe Ruth contest with Spalding logo etc with very worn ORIGINAL AUTOGRAPH OF BABE RUTH WITH be and Ru just showing and some other illegible original description above. Ball two is an American League Ball with an original autograph by Thos L. Bo---------or that is what it looks like and B. B. Johnson etc. Ball number three is a unmarked ball (may have had autographs at one time but if there were it is worn off by now). Ball number four is a baseball with ORIGINAL INK INSCRIPTION "Third Game Texas League Play Off Rebels verses Padres Sept 14, 1939". Ball number five is marked 'Seine Pro League Rubber Center - Wool Filler core etc" and appears to be unautographed. Ball number six is written in ink "Rebel Souvenir 1939" and has the maker's mark etc on the ball but it is hard to read. The last ball in the group is a Rawlings ball with lots of signatures and and appears to have all been signed in Germany etc. The last item found with this material is a miniature hockey stick with the words "Dallas Texans" written on the handle. We will also include the old cedar box the balls etc were stored in. Anyways, there a lot of amazing history here and the lot should attract considerable attention and like all of our auctions it is being put up without any reserve so good luck and be sure to check out the huge lots of Cracker Jack Toys from the 1930's that was found in this estate along with the epic large mohair German Rabbit toy dressed in lederhosen. Very careful packing, shipping and delivery confirmation by priority mail will be $34.00 in the U.S. due to large size or $20.00 parcel post (4-6 weeks from Hawaii). International shipping fees will depend on destination. Insurance is additional and required and will be determined after auction closes. All major credit cards accepted by fax with a signature. All sales final. Payment must be received within 7 days of auction ending.Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
