This great attic find is a used gold plated SML
Alto Saxophone with a Woodwind Co K7 steel ebonite
mouthpiece. The saxophone is marked SML Strasser
Marigaux 144-146 Boul.de La Villette Paris France.
It has serial number 111XX which according to web
sites dates it to the 1953-54 time frame. The length
is about 22 inches and the bell has a 5 inch diameter.
There are no dents but there are areas of minor
finish spotting and a few tiny chips.
The neck is marked SML and it has more spotting than the
saxophone body itself. Same for the mouthpiece cover.
The neck cork and the saxophone pads look
fair -- intact with denting on some pads. This saxophone
has not been played much for the last 40 years. According
to the former owners, it was in playing condition when stored away.
It comes with a good condition padded custom fit carrying case that
appears to be original with faux crocodile skin covering, music
holders, and reeds.

SML saxophone will need to be shipped by USPS Global Express Guaranteed for non-USA addresses. This form of mail is very expensive, around
$200.00 plus insurance fees. Please request a quote for your country. I will post quotes for all to see.
