"Winter Bare"

This is an ACEO created with paint pens and dimensional paints using a "squish technique". Yes, I said squish!
My toddlers got hold of a card I had done with dimensional paint and they smashed it onto another piece of paper. When I peeled it off, it left a beautiful textured design of the mixed colors. It appeared to have veins running through it that I found very intriguing. So, with the kids help, we made a few intentional ones. I looked at them from different angles until I saw what each one wanted to be.
The veining in this one reminded me of bare trees in the winter. I darkened one by painting the branches and adding snow. If you look at the pattern of the paint, you can see other bare trees standing in the background as well. I thought it a good place to find a fence along a snowy field. If you keep looking real close you might see a small rabbit hop by.
My ACEOs are shipped in rigid top loaders in a regular envelop.
