For sale is a beautiful 2.0 root-end shakuhachi, concert-grade flute. Well-balanced, in-tune, and no hard-to-find notes. Rich, deep tones. Comes with Monty Levenson hard and soft case as well as "The Shakuhachi: a manual for learning". This flute has been bound many times over and will likely never crack again. Blowing edge is in very good shape. Rough estimate of age is >50 years old. Maker is unknown but you can make out some of the maker's stamp. To maintain the best fit Teflon tape is used on male end of the lower half of the flute. Will include a roll of teflon tape. I do not have recording equipment so I cannot provide a sound sample. If you find any issue with sound send it back for full refund as long as it comes back to me in original shape. This is a genuine Japanese bamboo jiari shakuhachi. Original cost was an undervalued $2200 five years ago and previously used by professional shakuhachi player. The sound quality of this flute has not diminished over the years so though there will be some depreciation plan on getting more than you paid for. Fantastic flute for the enthusiast or advanced amateur to professional.
