This Selmer Paris Mark VI soprano saxophone is amazing!!! It is in great condition, with a few minor scratches, and has been played. The sound is Beautiful, with a rich tone. The pads are nearly brand new, and have been played very little. The High F# key sounds incredible. I have included a brand new Selmer C* mouth piece that has never been played!!! I am however keeping the ligature and brass mouth piece I was playing with because I have another Soprano Saxophone. So there is no ligature included with this saxophone. I also have the hard shell case shown in the picture that will be sold to the buyer with this saxophone. It has minor scrapes and dings. I absolutely love this saxophone and have been playing it for over five years. I am sad to get rid of it, but recently I haven't been playing it as much and I have decided to sell it. BID WITH CONFIDENCE. This is an amazing sounding saxophone for the price, and if you have any questions whatsoever do not hesitate to email me!!! ~ God Bless
SELMER PARIS MARK VI SOPRANO SAXOPHONE - is a professional model saxophone that is considered the Selmer Company's best saxophone and is preferred by many jazz musicians including: Phil Woods, John Coltrane, Paul Desmond, Eddie Davis, Paul Desmond, and many others.
History: The Mark VI was introduced by Selmer Paris in 1954 (over 48 years ago) and produced through 1973 (over 29 years ago). For the 19 years it was produced and for at least the subsequent 13 years, no saxophone could equal it. So, quite a mystique developed about the superiority of the vaunted Mark VI. And that high opinion is held with an almost religious fervor today.
